BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Freshman
Karli Koza received Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time this season, the league announced Monday.
The Winchester, Calif. native posted a total of 56 digs in two matches last week vs. No. 17 Augustana and No. 21 Wayne State.
Koza recorded 20 digs against the Vikings on Friday night and tallied a season-high 36 digs in a four-set loss to the Wildcats which ranks first in the NSIC for most in a match.
In just her first year at the collegiate level, Koza ranks third in the NSIC with 5.32 digs per set.
Minot State travels to Dickinson State for a mid-week matchup on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. before traveling to Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls this weekend.
