Herb Parker Stadium is the home of the Beaver Football and women's soccer teams. Resting on the side of a hill on Minot's north side, the Stadium provides relief from the weather as well as a beautiful view of the city of Minot for all events.

The stadium is named after former Minot State football coach, basketball coach, and athletic director Herbert M. Parker. Parker was MSU’s head football coach from 1947-49 and in 1951, going 21-6-1 overall. He coached MSU men’s basketball to 175 wins over 13 seasons (1947-1959), including a 1948 Conference Championship. Parker served as athletic director from 1947-1959, then again from 1974-1976.

Minot State University unveiled its final phase during a ribbon-cutting ceremony May 2, officially opening the press box at Herb Parker Stadium. The final phase of the project features a 10,750-foot, two-story structure featuring areas for the media and coaches during home games as well as 11 deluxe suites, restrooms, concession areas and a large meeting room. The $4 million facility received funding from the Minot Community Facility Fund.

In all, the total price of all phases of the Herb Parker Stadium renovation exceeded $8 million with funds coming from Minot State University, the Minot Community Facility Fund and private sponsorship.

The journey of Herb Parker Stadium started with updating the playing surface to FieldTurf in 2010. Along with updating the turf, MSU added state of the art lighting standards that could accommodate football and soccer configurations and an earthen berm along the west and south ends of the field.

Phase II included a new bleacher section with premium chair-back seating that can accommodate 3,500 fans on the north side of the stadium. Phase III saw the installation of a 14 x 25 foot Daktronics LED Video display and scoreboard on the west berm. The Daktronics board added a new element to the university's game-day experience.

The MSU Wellness Center, while not officially a part of the Herb Parker Stadium project, was completed in 2012 on the east end of the football field offering a unique backdrop with its west-facing, three-story glass design.

While the press box facility was in the final piece to the south side of Herb Parker Stadium, it's completion will transition the university into finalizing elements of the north side including Allen Field and future renovations that include adding a competition track.
