MINOT, N.D. – A sweep at the ACHA Showcase helped the Minot State men's hockey team climb one spot in the latest rankings, while a pair of home losses to the No. 1-ranked Liberty Flames led the Minot State women's hockey team to slide two spots in the latest ACHA Division I national poll.
The Minot State men (12-1-1 overall, 6-1-1 MCH), who head to Virginia to play at Liberty on Friday and Saturday, climbed to No. 2 in the latest ACHA Division I men's hockey poll, slipping past previous No. 2 Ohio. No. 1 Niagara remained atop the men's poll.
The Beavers beat then-No. 8 UNLV 2-1, bested No. 17 Utah 4-2, and skated past unranked Arizona State 8-2 at the Showcase.
UNLV moved up to No. 4, and Drury (Mo.) was No. 5. Liberty, which hosts Minot State this weekend, was No. 8 in the latest poll.
In the women's poll, Liberty remained No. 1, followed by Midland (Neb.) at No. 2, then McKendree (Ill.) at No. 3, Maryville (Mo.) at No. 4, and Michigan-Dearborn at No. 5.
Minot State (6-5-5 overall, 4-51 WMCH) slipped from No. 4 to No. 6 in the latest poll. The Beavers head to Nebraska to take on 2
nd-ranked Midland on Friday and Saturday to close out the 2025 portion of their season.
