Junior pitcher Kendal Daniels was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate baseball Pitcher of the Week Monday afternoon.

Minot State University went 3-3 in its final week of the season against Minnesota Crookston and No. 3 St. Cloud State. Daniels pitched a complete game against UMC and threw two innings to secure a win and earn a save against SCSU.

Daniels, a Regina, Saskatchewan native, struck out 10 of the 27 batters he faced against Minnesota Crookston on Wednesday while allowing just six hits. It was his second complete game of the season.

Coming off of short rest on Saturday he came in to pitch relief for the Beavers to earn his first save and help his team to its second victory against St. Cloud State. It was just the second time this season that the Huskies lost two games to one team.

Through his nine innings pitched, Daniels allowed just three earned runs and nine hits while striking out 11 batters.
