Cartwright was the top finisher among NCAA Division II runners as three Iowa Central individuals swept the first three places. He turned in a time of 15 minutes, 27.33 seconds, nearly 16 second under his seed time and topped 33 runners from DII, NAIA, junior colleges and unattached.
