Lavante Bushnell had a historic afternoon on the gridiron for the Beavers. Despite Minot State's loss to MSU Moorhead, Bushnell caught four passes for 45 yards and one score. He also added a bonus on special teams with two kickoff returns for 97 yards and long of 57.

More notably, though, Bushnell's touchdown grab was his 4th of the season and 18th of his career. With that TD, Lavante broke Minot State's Division II Era record for Career Touchdown Receptions. The senior receiver surpassed former Beaver Parker Sturm (2012-15) to reset the record.

This is the third time that Bushnell has been named a Minot State Athlete of the Week.
