(MINOT, N.D.) – Minot State women’s basketball star Mariah Payne has been named Minot State Athlete of the Week for her excellent performances last week.
The senior guard put together a fantastic weekend against St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth at home on Friday and Saturday.
Payne scored a combined 34 points, recorded 13 assists, grabbed nine rebounds, snagged one steal, and shot 55% from behind the three-point arc.
Payne also made history on Saturday by scoring her 1,000th career point as a Beaver.
This is the second time Mariah has been named Athlete of the Week.
