(MINOT, N.D.) – Taylor Laumeyer of the Minot State women’s track and field team has been named MSU Athlete of the Week for her performance at the UMary Winter Carinval on Saturday.
 
Laumeyer has been a consistent performer in the throwing events her entire career as a Beaver and her hard work was on display this weekend.
 
Taylor finished in first place at the dual meet in both the weight throw and the shot put with throws of 15.42 meters and 11.9 meters, respectively.
 
Her toss of 15.42 meters in the weight throw was a historic one as it broke Minot State’s Division-II era program record.
 
This is the second time Taylor Laumeyer has been named Athlete of the Week.
