(MINOT, N.D.) – Freshman guard Kobe Jackson has been named Minot State Athlete of the Week for his clutch performance and solid play last weekend.
 
Jackson was in the starting lineup for the first time in his collegiate career this weekend against Southwest Minnesota State and again versus Sioux Falls.
 
Kobe only recorded six total points but also added a combined nine rebounds, two steals, and one assist in both games.
 
Three of his six points came in dramatic fashion on Saturday against league-leading Sioux Falls. Jackson drilled a corner three with just 2.7 seconds left on the clock to give the Beavers the lead. That shot was his only make of the game. The score held and MSU pulled off the upset by a score of 69-66.
 
This is the first time Kobe Jackson has been named Athlete of the Week.
