(MINOT, N.D.) – Senior guard Mariah Payne of the Minot State women’s basketball team has been named Athlete of the Week for her excellent weekend of play to close the 2019-20 regular season slate.
Despite suffering two losses at MSU Moorhead and Northern State, Payne continued her spectacular season.
Mariah scored 35 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out three assists, and made two steals in both games. She did her damage very efficiently including shooting rates of 33% from the field, 43% from three, and 92% from the free throw line.
This is the third time Mariah Payne has been named Minot State Athlete of the Week.
