Brock Weppler

Brock Weppler begins his seventh year as an Assistant Director of Athletics for Development and is in his 18th overall season at Minot State after originally joining the Beaver Athletic team as an assistant coach for the 2006 baseball season.

Weppler assumed the role of Assistant AD-Development in May 2016 after leading the Beavers baseball program for nine seasons including their fourth season in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in the spring of 2016.

Weppler in the 2015 season had one of the better offensive teams in Minot State history. The Beavers were 21st in the Nation for home runs per game with an average of 1.20 a game. The hitters aslo averaged 5.98 runs a game, a .292 batting average and a slugging percentage of .474

In 2013 Weppler led MSU to a 15-23 finish but had one of the best offensive teams in the entire NSIC. Weppler's hitters ranked fifth in the conference with a .295 batting average and scored and average of 4.46 runs per game.

In 2012 MSU also finished with 12 wins, after a tough year playing all games away from Minot. MSU went 21-30 overall in 2011, the last season in the DAC. The 2010 version of the Beavers kept the Weppler tradition of running as MSU ranked sixth in the NAIA in stolen bases per game (2.529) and ninth in steal attempts per game (3.020). The Beavers were also ranked 34th in the country in batting average, cranking out a solid .337 as a team.

MSU was third in both steal attempts and stolen bases in the country in 2009 and was 49th in steals in 2007.

In his second season as head coach, Weppler guided the Beavers to a third place finish in the Dakota Athletic Conference. 

Before being named head coach, Weppler spent the 2006 and 2007 seasons as an assistant for the Beavers, working as the hitting coach, the infield coach and assisting with recruiting.

Weppler is a native of Burlington, N.D. he received his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from the University of Mary. Weppler played two seasons at Mary after transferring from MSU-Bottineau. At MSU-Bottineau Weppler was named to the Mon-Dak all conference team, the Region XIII All Region team, and Region XIII Defensive Player of the year.

Along with collegiate coaching, Weppler spent eight summers as head coach of the Burlington Bulldogs American Legion Baseball team. Weppler recieved the honor of being named head coach of the Class B West Legion All Stars in 2008 in Mayville, N.D. In 2007, Burlington finished with a record of 43-13, taking second at the state tournament. It was Burlington's first legion state tournament appearance since the 1995 team. Weppler's career record at Burlington was 295-121.

Weppler and his wife Glenda and their two children, Grady and Hayden, live in Minot.
