Clements became the second head coach in program history since the program began when he was hired prior to the 2019 season.
In his first year at the helm, the Beavers won three games, defeating Northern State, Sioux Falls, and Southwest Minnesota State.
During the season, the Beavers had a player named NSIC Player of the Week when Sofia Lewis earned Offensive Player of the Week. Sofia Lewis was also the lone honoree, being named to the All-NSIC Second Team after the season.
Clements came to Minot State after a successful five-year stint as the head coach at Hastings College. Under his direction, the Broncos recorded five straight national tournament appearances and were consistently ranked in the top 25 for all five seasons while compiling an 81-17-10 record.
In five seasons, Clements captured four regular-season conference championships and two conference tournament titles and developed seven All-Americans and 23 All-Conference First-Team selections while maintaining a 3.45 or better grade point average in the classroom.
Prior to his term at Hastings College, Clements served as the head men's and women's soccer coach at Avila University while posting an overall record of 62-38-11 in six seasons with the women's program.
Clements began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Central Missouri for three seasons. As the lead recruiter, UCM placed 26 players on the MIAA All-Academic team and tallied seven First Team All-Conference, 14 Honorable Mention All-Conference and an NCAA DII All-American selection.
