MINOT, N.D. – Minot State University women's soccer begins is second season at the Unaffiliated Dakota Athletic/Frontier/MCAC tournament Wednesday in Helena, Mont.
The Beavers enter the tournament as the No. 4 seed and play No. 5 Westminster College (Utah) in the first round Wednesday at 2 p.m. (MT) at Nelson Stadium on the campus of Carroll College.
MSU enters the tournament with a 9-6-3 record, while Westminster is 10-7-1 overall.
The other first round match features No. 3 Rocky Mountain College (Mont.) vs. No. 6 York College of Nebraska at Noon (MT).
The two winners from the first round move on to face top seed and host Carroll College and No. 2 Bellevue University (Neb.) on Thursday. Carroll plays the lowest remaining seed at Noon (MT) and Bellevue takes on the highest remaining seed at 2 p.m.
The championship is set for 1 p.m. (MT) on Friday. The champion of the tournament receives an automatic bid to the NAIA national tournament to begin Nov. 20.
