Ashley Barzcewski (Sr., O'Fallon, Mo.) made it stand.
MISU held off a 21-shot barrage by Minnesota Duluth to make Kidd's goal in the 45th minute stand, winning 1-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women's soccer Sunday afternoon.
Kidd netted the game-winner off solid passing from
Zoe Fisher (So., CM, Cambridgeshire, England) and
Jamie Council (Jr., F, Atascadero, Calif.) who both earned assists on the goal. Fisher had an outstanding weekend as she finished with a goal and two assists on the weekend.
The pair of wins moves Minot State (8-3-1 overall, 6-3-0 NSIC) into fifth place overall in the Northern Sun, two points ahead of Concordia University, St. Paul with six total games remaining in the regular season.
Barzcewski, making her second start of the season, turned away 10 shots, including eight in the second half. She faced a total of 21 shots in the match and saw eight corner kicks from the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs (4-5-2, 3-4-2) had seven players with two or more shots, paced by Hannah Keil's four. Marissa Rosa finished with four saves between the pipes in the loss for UMD.
Minot State stays on the road for one more week as the Beavers travel to Wayne State Saturday and Augustana College Sunday for 1 p.m. starts both days.
