MINOT, N.D. – Minot State University made the most of a tie as the Beavers were ranked in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Central Region Poll released Tuesday.
The Beavers (2-1-1) are fresh off a 0-0 tie of the No. 1 ranked Central Region team Central Missouri this past Saturday. Minot State also topped Southwest Baptist in nonconference play on Thursday.
MISU is tied with fellow Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponent Minnesota Duluth (1-2-0) for ninth in the latest poll. The Beavers and UMD are two of six NSIC teams in the top nine. Minnesota State is the highest NSIC team at No. 3.
The Beavers returns to NSIC play this weekend as they play host to the University of Sioux Falls Saturday (11 a.m.) and Southwest Minnesota State Sunday (1 p.m.) at Herb Parker Stadium.
