The No. 21 Minot State University soccer team (11-3-1, 9-2-1 NSIC) fell 2-1 to Augustana (12-2-1, 10-1-1) at home early Saturday afternoon.

After going up 1-0 in the 18th minute with a goal from Andrea Franco, her third of the season, the Beavers looked to be in good shape. Breanne Hatfield assisted the goal for her second assist on the year. 

Augustana came back with a goal of its own just 12 minutes later making the score 1-1 going into halftime. 

After the half the Vikings wasted no time getting back on the board with a goal with an unassisted shot from Kristin Smith. Smith assisted the first goal of the game as well leaving Minot with three points.

As time ticked down subs came in for Minot State, but failed to get anything past Augustana's goalkeeper. With eight total shots, five on goal, from the Beavers the Vikings we able to limit offensive production. 

Minot State will play again tomorrow, October 25 against Wayne State College at Herb Parker Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
