SOUIX FALLS, S.D. – The Minot State University wrestling team fell 45-0 to Augustana in its first of two road NSIC duals it will compete in this weekend.
Some new faces competed for the Beavers as
Dimitri Grivas (157, R-Fr., Holiday, Fla.) and Shane Shepherd (157, Jr., Scio, Ore.) made their first dual appearances. This is the first season either athlete has competed for MSU as Grivas redshirted last season and Shepherd transferred from Clackama Community College. It was Grivas's sixth match of the season and Shepherd's fifth as they competed in tournaments earlier in the season.
The Beavers are now 0-5 against the Vikings since joining the NSIC and have yet to defeat their next opponent, Southwest Minnesota State as well.
Minot State will compete against SMSU tomorrow, February 5 at 3 p.m. in Marshall, Minn.
