FAYETTE, Iowa – Junior
Haley Berryman scored her fifth and sixth goals of the season to lead Minot State in a 3-1 win over Upper Iowa on Saturday afternoon in Fayette, Iowa.
The Beavers improve to 8-4-1 (7-3 NSIC) on the season while Upper Iowa drops to 3-8-1 (3-6-1 NSIC).
Berryman broke the scoreless tie in the 41
st minute, receiving a pass from
Sofia Lewis and scoring into the left side of the goal for her fifth goal of the season.
Upper Iowa answered in the 62
nd minute, scoring off a free kick just outside the box from Rachel Fowler.
The Beavers took the lead for the final time in the 63
rd minute. Berryman scored her second of the match from the right side on a shot that crossed from right to left.
Andrea Franco scored in the 67
th minute from just inside the box to extend Minot State's lead to 3-1.
Erin Rafferty recorded a match-high six saves in the win.
Upper Iowa finished with a 16-12 advantage in shots while Minot State notched a 2-1 lead in corner kicks.
