MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State wrestling team will open the regular season with a dual against rival Mary on Wednesday (Nov. 8) at 7 p.m. in the Minot State Dome.

The Beavers opened the 2017-18 season by holding the Green versus Red instrasquad dual last Friday. The Green team rallied to post a 31-27 victory by recording victories in four of the final six matches of the dual.

Tanner Crissler, Oscar Nellis, Tyler Sharron and Mitchell Eull each recorded a fall.

Minot State was selected to finish ninth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Poll after posting a 4-16 overall record and an 0-8 mark in league competition.

Mary opened the season at the Jimmie Open last week and received first-place finishes from Rudy Guillen, Nate Humann and Dominic Tudor and Dominik Urena.
