Box Score MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State women's soccer team lost their home opener to Emporia State on Friday night at Herb Parker Stadium.
The Hornets edged the Beavers, 1-0, off Kennedy Hoffman's goal that snuck inside the right post in the 94
th minute of the second game in the Microtel Inn & Suites Minot State Classic.
The Beavers held an 18-11 advantage in shots.
Sydnee Canales led Minot State with five shots.
Goalkeeper
Erin Rafferty notched four saves in the goal for the Beavers.
Yellow cards were given to Emporia State's Maddie Taylor in the 72

Minot State returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 10 when they face #17 Fort Hays State at 2 p.m. in day two of the Microtel Inn & Suites Minot State Classic.
