Lewis Lifts Beavers Past Upper Iowa 3-0

MINOT, N.D. -- Sophomore Sofia Lewis tallied two goals leading Minot State to a 3-0 victory over Upper Iowa in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match on Friday in Herb Parker Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sofia Lewis got Minot State on the scoreboard just 1:14 into the match when she scored an unassisted goal
  • Haley Berryman increased the lead to 2-0 at the 82:09 mark of the second when she scored off her own rebound
  • Sofia Lewis added her second goal of the match at the 84:19 mark of the second off assists from Meagan Kawahara and Sydnee Canales
BEAVER TRACKS
  • Sofia Lewis scored her team-leading 11th and 12th goals of the season, which marked the fourth time this season she has scored at least two goals in a match
  • Senior Haley Berryman scored her seventh goal of the season in the second period, which ranks second on the team
  • Sydnee Canales assisted on Lewis' second goal of the match and moved into a tie for second on the team with four assists
  • Meagan Kawahara recorded her first assist of the season
  • Erin Rafferty played 86:56 minutes in goal and made two saves
