MINOT, N.D. -- Sophomore Sofia Lewis scored three goals leading Minot State to a 4-0 victory over Minnesota Crookston in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match on Sunday at Herb Parker Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Sofia Lewis scored her first goal of the match at the 4:46 mark of the first period off an assist from Haley Berryman giving the Beavers a 1-0 lead
• Sofia Lewis scored her second goal of the match on an unassisted goal at the 18:27 mark of the first
• Sofia Lewis completed the hat trick with a goal at the 54:36 mark of the second period
• Jannely Rangel capped the scoring with her second goal of the season at the 84:05 mark of the second period

BEAVER TRACKS

• Sofia Lewis scored her first career hat trick and became the first Minot State player since Chloe Melton accomplished the feat against Upper Iowa in 2016 to register three goals in a match
• Jannely Rangel scored her second goal of the season
• Andrea Franco, Haley Berryman and Jordyn Cook each had assists for Minot State
• Erin Rafferty earned the win in goal for the Beavers and improved to 6-4-2 on the season
• Melanie van Walstijn had four shots for Minot State
