BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Jordyn Cook scored her first career NCAA Tournament goal, but Bemidji State ended the Beavers season with a 3-1 victory over Minot State in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at Chet Anderson Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Allyson Smith got Bemidji State on the scoreboard at the 10:43 mark of the first period with a rebound goal
• Bemidji State upped the lead to 2-0 at the 55:15 mark of the second period when Rachael Norton scored an unassisted goal
• Minot State cut the deficit in half at the 59:49 mark when Jordyn Cook scored on an assist from Sofia Lewis
• Bemidji State capped the scoring when Rachael Norton scored her second goal of the match at 68:32

• Jordyn Cook scored her third goal of the season, and her first in NCAA Tournament play, for the Beavers
• Haley Berryman led Minot State with four shots, including three shots on goal
• Cinthya Samaniego had three shots for the Beavers
