MINOT, N.D. -- Haley Berryman, Sofia Lewis and Ashley Hunter each scored goals and Erin Rafferty and Mackenzie Long combined for a shutout as Minot State defeated Oklahoma Baptist 3-0 on the final day of the Microtel Inn & Suites Classic on Saturday at Herb Parker Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Minot State jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 14:38 mark of the first period when Sofia Lewis scored on a penalty kick
• Haley Berryman scored off a rebound following a free kick to increase the Beavers lead to 2-0 at the 24:00 mark of the first
• Minot State capped the scoring just 1:04 into the second period when Ashley Hunter scored off a feed from Sofia Lewis

BEAVER TRACKS

• Sofia Lewis finished with four points to lead the Beavers
• Haley Berryman scored a goal for the second straight match and has three on the season
• Ashley Hunter scored her first goal of the season in the second period
• Erin Rafferty improved to 2-0 on the season by combining for a shutout with Mackenzie Long
• Erin Rafferty played 82:52 of the match and Mackenzie Long played the final 7:08

TEAM NOTES

• Oklahoma Baptist was an NCAA Tournament team last year and the preseason favorite to win the Great American Conference
