(MINOT, N.D.) -- The Minot State University soccer team is set for two big Homecoming-weekend contests at Herb Parker Stadium. The Beavers will take on Concordia University-St. Paul on Friday, Oct. 4 and Minnesota State-Mankato on Sunday, October 6.
Minot State dropped two road games last weekend when they were beaten at Wayne State and at Augustana.
Series History
vs. Concordia-St. Paul
- Minot State is undefeated against CSP in their history on the pitch.
- The Beavers won the first ever meeting between the teams by a score of 2-1 (9/29/12).
- The Beavers won the most recent match 1-0 last season at Concordia (9/28/18).
- The Golden Bears have only scored two total goals when facing Minot State and haven't scored against the Beavers since 2013.
vs. Minnesota State
- Minnesota State leads the series over Minot State 1-6-3.
- The Mavericks won the inaugural match-up 2-0 (9/30/12).

Beaver Tracks
- Daniela Fonseca and Anabel Noches are the only Beavers to score this season. Fonseca netted her first goal of the year last weekend at Wayne State (9/27) and Noches was the first Beaver to score against Northern State (9/22).
- Kelsey Pena and Melanie van Walsitjn have each made an assist.
- Junior Sofia Lewis leads the team in shots (22) and shots on goal (11).
- Senior GK Erin Rafferty has made 41 total saves during the 2019 campaign.
Scouting Report
Concordia-St. Paul
- CSP currently holds an overall record of 6-0-1 and an NSIC mark of 3-0-1.
- Concordia-St. Paul has been receiving votes to be ranked nationally each of the last two weeks.
- The Golden Bears' offense is led by Hannah Pedersen who has scored three goals, made four assists, and leads the team in points with 10.
- Leah Johnson and Nikki Anderson have also been a major factor in Concordia's offensive success with three goals in seven shots on target for each player.
- Another attacker to watch is Jena Berkland who has only scored one goal despite playing aggressively with 16 total shots and 11 on goal.
- Golden Bear keeper Jordyn Clark has started all seven games and only allowed four scores while saving 31 shots.
Minnesota State
- Minnesota State boasts an overall record of 6-1-0 and an 3-1-0 mark in league play.
- The Mavericks are currently ranked 4th in the most recent NCAA Division II United Soccer Coaches Poll.
- The Mavericks play an aggressive style of soccer led by Dakota Wendell, Jenny Vetter, and Brynn Desens. The three forwards have combined for 12 goals, 12 assists, and 98 total shots.
- Nine different girls have scored for Minnesota State with Desens' five goals leading the way.
- Keeper Alexa Rabune has started all seven games and made 29 saves while allowing only three goals.
