MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State wrestling team sprinted out to an early lead over No. 14 Augustana, but couldn't sustain the lead to pull off the upset on Senior Day as the Vikings came back for a 21-18 victory over the Beavers on Sunday afternoon in the Minot State Dome.

The setback drops the Beavers to 5-10 (2-6 NSIC) while the Vikings improve to 5-3 (4-3 NSIC).

How It Happened

• Dean Arevalo opened the dual with a 10-7 win and Oscar Nellis notched a win by forfeit to put the Beavers ahead 6-0 quick.
• In his last home match, senior Jered Sublet capped his career at home with a 9-6 victory over Jebben Keyes.
• Augustana recorded their first points of the dual when Tyler Wagener came back to defeat Minot State's Tanner Crissler, 8-5.
• The Vikings added three more points when MSU's Zach Berry suffered a 5-2 loss.
• Augustana added nine points to take a 15-12 advantage over the Beavers after Nathan Baca fell 5-2 his match and Lukas Poloncic pinned Minot State's Anthony Raupp.
• Keegan Berry tied the dual at 15 with a 5-1 victory, but Augustana responded with six points after Clayton Wahlstrom pinned Je-Mario Jones.
• Minot State got three of the points back in the final match of the contest when Jordan Will shutout Matt Naig (3-0) for the win.
