MINOT, N.D. -- Minot State got a pair of goals from Sofia Lewis in a 3-0 shutout victory over Upper Iowa Sunday at the Herb Parker Stadium.
The win improved the Beavers to 7-2-0 overall and 6-0-0 in NSIC play.
How it Happened
Minot State opened the scoring when Lewis recorded her seventh goal of the season in the sixth minute, assisted by Sofia Galvez.
Only five minutes into the second half, the Beavers grabbed a 2-0 advantage on a goal from Chloe Allen -- her fifth goal of the season --, assisted again by Galvez.
MSU went up 3-0 on Lewis' 86th-minute goal, her seventh of the season to put the Peacocks away and secure the victory.

They first will kick-off homecoming with a duel against the Northern State Wolves (4-3-1, 3-2-1 NSIC) Friday Oct. 8th at 7:30 p.m. The Beavers will conclude homecoming weekend with a matchup against the Minnesota State Moorhead Dragons (0-9, 0-6 NSIC) set for Sunday Oct. 10th with kickoff set for noon.
