ADRIAN, Mich. - This time, a fast start led to a lead the Beavers never relinquished.
Megan Norris scored just 3 minutes, 41 seconds into the contest for the Minot State women's hockey team which avenged a loss from one day earlier to second-ranked Adrian, skating to a 2-0 win on the road Friday afternoon.
Ensley Fendelet and
Anna German set up the goal which proved to be the game-winner Minot State, while
Haylie Biever made 41 saves in goal in the shutout win for the sixth-ranked Beavers (10-3-0 overall).
Haley Wickham added an insurance goal with 6:02 gone in the second period for Minot State off an assist from
Riley Ball, helping ice the win.
Having split their two-game series with the Bulldogs (10-3-1 overall), the Beavers now continue their road trip to Michigan playing at Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday and Sunday.
