MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State women's hockey season came to an end earlier today with a first-round defeat in the ACHA National Tournament. The Beavers were held scoreless and fell to the Lindenwood Lions by a 3-0 score.
Lindenwood scored one goal in each period starting with Marissa Delry's score in the first. Delry was assisted by Risa Shatford.
In the second period, Delry and Shatford switched roles and Delry assisted Shatford to take a 2-0 advantage.
Finally, Lindenwood netted their third and final goal of the game when Kennedy Frank scored after Michaela Read and Kim Turcotte provided assists.
In goal,
Jordan Ivanco saved 25 shots for Minot State while allowing the three Lion scores. For Lindenwood, Emily McDonald had a stellar afternoon with 41 saves while collecting the win and the shutout.
The Beavers finished the season with a 16-5-1 overall record with a conference mark of 8-2-1.
