DULUTH, MINN. -- Minot State got a pair of goals from senior Sofia Lewis in a 2-0 shutout victory over Minnesota Duluth Friday on the road at James S. Malosky Stadium.
The victory boosted Minot State's record to 2-2-0 overall and 1-0-0 in NSIC action.
How it Happened
The Beavers started the scoring when Lewis scored her first goal of the season in the eighth minute of the match.
The Beavers extended their lead to 2-0 on another goal from Lewis in the 87th minute. Junior Maddie Kindred backstopped any offensive chances for the Bulldogs to push the Beavers to the 2-0 win to open conference play.

- Kindred piled up six saves for the Beavers out of 14 total Bulldogs shots.
- MSU registered six shots on goal and 13 total shots.
- Lewis led the Beaver charge on offense with not only the two goals, but with seven shots as well.
