MINOT, ND — Sitting at the top of the ACHA Division I rankings at No. 2, the Beavers look to continue their seven-game win streak this Friday and Saturday night against the No. 23 Midland University Warriors. These two teams haven't seen each other in over two months after MSU won two games against the warriors, including a 5-0 shutout.
The Warriors are traveling to Minot eager to take the ice after having their last two games canceled due to COVID-19 protocols. Prior to the cancelations, Midland University was holding a strong three-game win streak in their most recent games. In recent matchups between the Beavers and the Warriors, MSU has only allowed one goal through their net compared to the twelve they've scored in total against Midland.
Minot State's top scorers to look out for in this weekend's competition are
Carter Barley,
Jared Hamm, and
Davis Sheldon, who have played a large role in the Beavers' offense this season.
Drew Carter and
Reece Henry have also been staples in MSU's victories that have brought their record to an impressive 22-2-0-0.
The weekend series begins Friday night with a 8:00p.m. puck drop.
