MINOT, N.D.- The Minot State women's hockey team (1-1) will take on the Jamestown Jimmies (1-2) in a home-and-home series in the Jimmies first year in the WMCH conference with MSU. The Beavers first soar to Jamestown Friday night at 7 p.m., followed by a showdown in Minot on Saturday afternoon at the Maysa Arena at 3:45 p.m. 

The Jimmies started off their season with a series sweep at the hands of the Midland Warriors by scores of 10-1 and 7-1 on the road. The Jimmies then lost 7-2 to NAIT in exhibition play before getting their first victory of the season in a 4-3 overtime victory over the Maryville Saints. Crystal Wale leads the Jimmies with two goals on the year. The Jimmies have relied upon the duo of Makenzie Gibson and Lilah Drew to backstop the Jimmie net as Drew has drawn the lone UJ victory of the year. 

The Beavers are coming off a series split with Maryville this past weekend. Both games were tight battles as the Beavers prevailed 5-4 Friday night, followed by a 2-1 defeat Saturday. The Beavers do not have a multiple goal scorer on the team yet, as six different Beavers have found the back of the net. Anna German is the leader in points for MSU as she has collected one goal and two assists. Haylie Biever started the first game against Maryville allowing four goals while making 20 saves for a 4.85 goals against average. Jordan Ivanco started on Saturday for MSU allowing two goals while making 19 saves for a 2.19 goals against average. 

The Beavers will stay in Minot for another weekend homestand, this time against the McKendree Bearcats (0-2-1). The series starts Saturday Oct. 22nd at 3:45 p.m. at the Maysa Arena, and will conclude at the Maysa Arena on Sunday Oct. 23rd at 1 p.m.
