MINOT, N.D. – October 28 and 29 marks the second time this season Minot State men's hockey team and the Jamestown Jimmies will face off. Friday, Oct. 28 the teams play at Jamestown, and Saturday, Oct. 29, at 3:45 p.m. at the Maysa Arena here in Minot N.D.
The first time the two teams met this season saw the now co-No. 1 ranked Beavers upended the Jimmies, 4-3 and 6-1, with two goals from freshman Joey Moffatt, and one each from junior Eric Soar and sophomore Jay Buchholz in the first game; Reid Arnold, Sheldin Howard, Joey Moffatt, Davis Sheldon (2 goals), and Connor Navrot each scored in the second game.
Currently, both teams have been on a winning streak in their last three games with the Minot State Beavers holding a 6-0 record, and the Jamestown Jimmies now 4-2 as they've won four in-a-row.
Players to watch for Minot State include Carter Barley and Landyn Cochrane who have 7 and 5 goals, respectively, to their name already this season.
With a highly competitive spirit, and excellent players, this Friday's and Saturday's matchups are ones to anticipate.
