FREMONT, Neb - Victory, Victory: That was the song the women's hockey team sang after their last two games against the University of Minnesota Gophers.
The first game on the 5th of November saw the Beavers dominate the first period with two goals, the second period with five goals, and the third period with another 2 goals for a 9-0 win against the Gophers.
Sunday was much the same as Minot State moved quick with four goals in the first period, two in the second, and another two in the third, leaving the Gophers pointless in both matchups.
Commanding gusto is what the Minot State women's hockey team has shown this season with a 6-2 record, a record-breaking shutout by Jordan Ivanco, and a ranking of No. 5 nationally in the first ACHA poll.
This weekend, the ladies head to Nebraska to face the Midland Warriors who have a 10-3-1 record already this season.
Puck drops at 5 pm on Friday, November 11, and 6:30 pm on Saturday, November 12, at the University of Midland.
