MINOT, N.D. - The Minot State women's hockey team resumes its rivalry with the Jamestown Jimmies this weekend on Friday and Saturday.
The Beavers have played the Jimmies four times already this season and have won every game.
The Beavers last appeared at the Maysa Arena a week ago where they battled a tough then No. 3-ranked Midland team. The first game versus Midland saw the Warriors win a good fight, 2-1.
The second game, however, was a turnaround. Two goals from Ensley Fendelet, one from Jordan Kulbida, and another from senior Megan Norris in overtime led the Beavers (9-4-1 overall) to a 4-3 victory against the Warriors.
Currently, the Jimmies rank No. 14 in the ACHA poll with a 5-10 overall record and look to put some pressure on the Minot State Beavers, who are ranked No. 5, to perform at their best.
The Beavers play the Jimmies at 3:45 p.m. at the Maysa Arena this Friday, and 3:30 p.m. at Jamestown on Saturday!
Minot State remains No. 5 in current ACHA poll
Coming off a split at home with visiting Midland, the Minot State women's hockey team remained No. 5 in the current ACHA Division I poll released Tuesday evening.
Liberty (Va.) remained No. 1 in the poll and Adrian (Mich.) remained No. 2, while Indiana Tech moved up to No. 3 and Midland slipped one spot to No. 4.
Jamestown, who the Beavers (9-4-1 overall) play in a home-and-home series this weekend, climbed one spot to No. 14.
