MINOT, N.D. - The 5th-ranked Minot State women's hockey team split the weekend with the visiting Bulldogs of Adrain College after returning from the holiday break last weekend.
The Beaver's won the first game against the Bulldogs with a last-second goal from
Olivia Opheim and an earlier goal from Sidney Spicer.The second game also was closely contested as the Beavers pulled off a goal each from Jordan Kubilda and
Mia Mckee to force overtime.The Bulldogs however made their move in OT and came out winners scoring a goal at 3 minutes, 42 seconds of OT.
The Beavers return to the ice this weekend at the Maysa arena to play the 4th-ranked Warriors of Indian Tech. The Warriors have a 20-3 record so far this season and have won their last six games.The Beavers are expected to put in their best effort as they face the Warriors for the first time this season.
Puck drops at 3:45 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday afternoons.
