Minot State men’s hockey offers free tickets for food donation this Friday

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State men's hockey team is looking to pack the stands at the Maysa Arena and fill people's tummies at the same time.

The Beavers invite fans to bring 3 non-perishable food items to donate at Minot State's game this Friday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m., and in exchange fans get a free admission ticket to enjoy the action on the ice as the Beavers host Waldorf (Iowa).

All donated food items will be taken to The Lord's Cupboard.

"We are extremely excited to work with The Lord's Cupboard to bring the community together and help those in need, especially as we enter into the colder months," said Daniel Schuetz, Assistant Athletic Director for Revenue and Fan Development. "This is a great opportunity to care for our fellow citizens and watch some great hockey at the same time."

This special event is part of a busy weekend on the ice for both Minot State hockey teams as action gets underway Thursday night with the Beaver men hosting Missouri State at 7 p.m.

The Minot State women then make their home debut Friday at 3:45 p.m. in an ACHA title game rematch with Liberty and the first 250 fans through the doors get a free, limited-edition Beaver Women's Hockey t-shirts.

The weekend on the ice wraps up with two more games Saturday as the Minot State women host Liberty at 3:45 p.m., and the Minot State men host Waldorf again at 7:30 p.m.
