ADRIAN, Mich. – On day three of a tough road trip, the Minot State women's hockey team never found its rhythm, falling to host Adrian (Mich.) 3-0 on Saturday.
The host Bulldogs (6-1-0 overall) got an early jump on the road-weary Beavers (4-5-0), scoring the game-winner 3 minutes, 38 seconds into the action. Adrian added another first-period goal, then maintained that 2-0 lead until the final 1:40 of the contest when a late goal iced the win.
Minot State was outshot 34-10 in the contest, with Beaver goalie
Haylie Biever turning aside 31 shots to keep her team in the game.
Minot State finishes off its four-game road trip Sunday playing a second game at Adrian with puck-drop at 3 p.m. (Minot time).
