MINOT, N.D. – A stellar effort in the circle by freshman Kierra Fournier wasn't enough for Minot State, which dropped a 2-0 pitcher's duel to visiting Minnesota Duluth inside the Air-Supported Dome on the MSU campus to start an NSIC doubleheader.
The Bulldogs then took the nightcap 11-0 in five innings.
Minot State (15-11 overall, 2-2 NSIC) is back in action at "The Bubble" on Sunday at 10 a.m., hosting another conference twinbill, this time against St. Cloud State.

MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State Beavers were not able to score a run against Minnesota Duluth pitcher junior Lauren Dixon on Saturday and were shut out 2-0 by the Bulldogs.
Freshman Kierra Fournier (3-4) got the ball to start for Minot State and took the loss. The right-hander went seven innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on five hits, allowing six walks and striking out four.
Senior Leo Watson led the way offensively for the Beavers, going 1-for-3 in the ballgame.
