Beavers continue to beat top NSIC teams, earn split at MSU Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minot State softball team inched closer to clinching a postseason berth with another strong day on the diamond, taking one of two on the road against one of the NSIC leaders in Minnesota State Moorhead.

Brooklyn Morrison had an RBI double and a solo home run, helping spot the Beavers (27-19 overall, 14-10 NSIC) to a three-run lead as Minot State held on to win the day's opener, 3-2 over the Dragons on Tuesday.

The Dragons, in fourth place in the NSIC standings, bounced back to take the nightcap 5-1 as the team split their NSIC doubleheader.

Minot State now wraps up the regular season on the road this weekend playing at Minnesota State, Mankato in a doubleheader on Saturday, and at Concordia, St. Paul in another twinbill on Sunday.
