BISMARCK, ND --The Minot State Beavers struggled on Wednesday, falling to the Minnesota-Crookston Golden Eagles 7-3 despite the efforts of junior Gunnar Kozlowitz, who went 1-for-4 with a home run and an RBI.

Senior Bryant Bagshaw (6-3) started and took the loss on the mound for Minot State (29-18). Sophomore Jonah Prokott was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going two shutout innings without allowing a hit, walking none and striking out three.

Offensively, the Beavers were paced by Kozlowitz, who went 1-for-4 on the day with a home run and an RBI. Senior Matt Malone put together a noteworthy performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-4 with a double. Junior Javier Gutierrez also contributed for Minot State, putting together one hit in four trips to the plate while adding an RBI.

The Beavers now play against Winona State at 11 am on Thursday in an elimination game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
