CROOKSTON, -- Minot St. earned a 2-1 win over Minn.-Crookston Sunday (Sept. 3) on the road at UMC Soccer Field.
The win improved Minot St.'s record to 1-0-0 overall. The Beavers look to continue their road trip this week, playing at Montana State Billings on Thursday. Sept. 7.Â

"Getting our first win together is a nice way to start the season," head coach TJ Perez said.Â
"There were positives and negatives to pull out of the game, we created a lot of chances to score, especially in the second half. We now look to the next game and we know we have to get better and demand more from each from each other."Â
How it Happened
Minot St. opened the scoring when Yossi Villagrana scored her first goal of the season in the ninth minute.
The Golden Eagles evened the game on a goal from Brooklyn Fischbach in the 69th minute, assisted by Marsia Green and Autumn Rabe.
Minot St. then busted up the 1-1 draw on Jessica Groen's 71st-minute goal, her first of the season. Neither team scored again in the game.
