MINOT, N.D. - The Minot State Beavers men's hockey team is set to host #14 Grand Canyon University for a two-game series at the Maysa Arena. On Friday, November 1, the Beavers take on Grand Canyon in game one at 7:30 pm, and on Saturday, November 2, the Beavers take on Grand Canyon in game two at 7:30 pm. For game two, Saturday, November 2, the Beavers are putting on a food drive where fans receive free admission with a donation of 2 non-perishable food items. The Beavers are currently ranked #3 on the ACHA polls with a record of 6-1-1, and Grand Canyon is currently ranked #14 with a record of 3-1-1.
The last time the Beavers and Grand Canyon faced off was back on March 8, 2024 which saw the Beavers take down Grand Canyon by a score of 5-0. Historically, Minot State has had Grand Canyon's number defeating them in all 4 of their match-ups thus far. With that being said, Grand Canyon has had a strong start to their season, so we can be sure to expect some competitive hockey in this upcoming series.Â
Minot State is going into this series coming off of two wins against the University of Mary. Back on Saturday, October 26, the Beavers defeated UMary by a score of 6-1 on the road in Mandan, North Dakota. Also, on Wednesday, October 30, the Beavers defeated UMary once again by a score of 4-1, outscoring the Marauders 10-2 in the two games. Minot State has taken down UMary in all three games against them this year, and the Beavers have won their past three games. Minot State will be looking to continue their momentum against Grand Canyon on Friday and Saturday.Â

Following this Friday and Saturday's two-game set against #14 Grand Canyon University, the Beavers will be back in action at home in a two-game set against Waldorf. The Beavers host Waldorf on Friday, November 8, at 1:00 pm, and on Saturday, November 9, at 3:00 pm at the Maysa Arena. Â
