MINOT, N.D. - On Friday, November 1, Minot State took on #12 Lindenwood University in game one of a two-game set. The Beavers battled against Lindenwood University, but eventually fell short by a score of 5-3. The Beavers are now 6-3-0 on the season, while Lindenwood improved their record to 6-6-0.
The Beavers were held scoreless in the first period, while Ardyn Hawryshko got Lindenwood on the board with a goal scored at 19:35 into the first to make the score 1-0 in favor of Lindenwood.
Lindenwood furthered their lead to 2-0 at 2:00 into the second period on a goal scored by Loki Antonio. The Beavers cut down Lindenwood's lead with a power play goal scored by
Paige Kozak at 9:30 into the period to make the score 2-1. Loki Antonio scored her second goal of the game at 11:29 into the period to extend Lindenwood's lead to 3-1. Madison Teague scored a power play goal a few minutes later to put Lindenwood on top by a score of 4-1.
Journey Miller got the Beavers on the board early in the third period with a power play goal scored at 2:07 into the period to make the score 4-2. The Beavers got within one on a power play goal scored by
Abby Pineau at 5:26 into the period to make the score 4-3 in favor of Lindenwood. Loki Antonio scored her third goal of the game on the power play, to give her a hat trick on the game, at 17:31 into the period to give Lindenwood a 5-3 lead.
