MINOT, N.D. - The Minot State Beavers defeated #12 Lindenwood University on Saturday, November 2, at the Maysa Arena to split the two-game series. The Beavers came into this game after falling to Lindenwood on Friday, November 1, by a score of 5-3. With today's win, #9 Minot State improves their record to 7-3-0, while #12 Lindenwood falls to 6-7-0.
The first period was a quiet one for both teams as the two goalies kept the game scoreless through the first 20 minutes.
Morgan Baker had 1 save on hot on goal for the Beavers, while Evi Allerding had 12 saves on 12 shots on goal for Lindenwood.
The second period was all Minot State as the Beavers took advantage of the two power plays in the period.
Abby Pineau got the scoring started for the Beavers with a power play goal scored at 8:44 into the period to Minot State on top 1-0. Not long after, it was
Krissy Rink who scored a power play goal at 9:41 into the period to put Minot State ahead 2-0.
Morgan Baker held Lindenwood scoreless in the second period tallying 5 saves on 5 shots on goal.
Makenna Beard got the third period started with a goal scored at 2:49 into the period to further Minot State's lead to 3-0. Lindenwood would not be shutout, however, scoring their only goal on a power play by Ardyn Hawryshko at 11:32 into the period. After their power play goal, Lindenwood was held scoreless to give the Beavers the win by a final score of 3-1.

The Beavers will be back in action on the road in the WMCH Showcase in Missouri and Illinois. The Beavers will be competing in three games in three straight days. On Thursday, November 7, the Beavers take on Lindenwood University at 1:30 pm in St. Charles, Missouri. On Friday, November 8, the Beavers take on the University of Minnesota at 9:30 pm in St. Charles, Missouri. On Saturday, November 9, the Beavers take on McKendree University at 5:00 pm in O'Fallon, Illinois. On Sunday, November 10, at 12:00 pm, the WMCH Showcase will end with a WMCH All Star Game in Chesterfield, Missouri.
