ST. CHARLES, MO - The Minot State Beavers women's hockey team defeated Lindenwood University by a score of 3-2 in overtime on Thursday, November 7. This win marks the second straight win against Lindenwood in the last three games played for the Beavers. With this win, the #9 Beavers improved their record to 8-3-0, and #13 Lindenwood falls to 6-7-1.
The first period belonged to the Beavers as Lindenwood was held scoreless in the first by
Morgan Baker who had 6 saves on 6 shots on goal.
Krissy Rink got the Beavers on the board in the first period with a goal scored at 12:29 into the period to make the score 1-0.
As opposed to the first period, the second period was all Lindenwood as the Beavers were held scoreless on 12 shots on goal in the period. Loki Antonio knotted the game up at 1-1 with a goal scored at 3:22 into the period. Ardyn Hawryshko was the next player to get on the board for Lindenwood with a goal scored at 17:17 into the period to put Lindenwood on top 2-1.
Minot State and Lindenwood battled it out throughout the third period, but it was Minot State who had the big goal in the period. At 17:41 into the period, it was
Tori Bear who scored the game tying goal for the Beavers to make the score 2-2 through regulation.
Journey Miller scored the game winning goal for the Beavers at 4:36 into the overtime period to give the Beavers the win by a final score of 3-2.

Payton Lang were all credited with assists in today's game.
Morgan Baker led the way in goal for the Beavers improving her record to 5-1-0 with 30 saves on 32 shots on goal.
Following Thursday's win against Lindenwood, the Beavers will be back in action on Friday, November 8, to take on the University of Minnesota in St. Charles, Missouri at the Lindenwood Ice Arena at 9:30 pm.
