In their first at-bat since February 24, the Beavers (7-7 overall, 2-0 NSIC) erupted for five runs en route to a 6-2 win over host Sioux Falls in a neutral-site NSIC doubleheader.
The Beavers then finished the sweep as Gabi Dawyduk threw a one-hit shutout for an 8-0 win in 6 innings as Minot State opened NSIC action with the sweep on the campus of Dordt University.
Minot State is back in action Saturday in another NSIC doubleheader, playing against host Wayne State at 8 p.m., once again on the Dordt campus.

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa -- The Minot State Beavers took a 5-0 lead in the first inning and never trailed from there on the way to a 6-2 victory against the Sioux Falls Cougars on Friday.
Junior Reegan Floyd (2-2) got the win for Minot State. The right-hander went seven innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on seven hits, allowing four walks and striking out four.
In the batter's box, the Beavers were led by junior Abby Lohse, who went 2-for-4 on the day with two RBI. Junior Hannah Murray furnished a standout performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-4 with two RBI. Senior Lauryn DeGuzman also chipped in for Minot State, putting together one hit in two trips to the plate while adding a walk and an RBI.
