DENVER, Colo. - Grant Gabbert, Colton Bagshaw, and Cameron Carr each blasted a home run while Ricky Apodaca added three hits and four RBIs for Minot State which closed a long weekend in Colorado with a 15-6 win over the host Colorado School of Mines Orediggers on Tuesday.
The offensive explosion gave the Beavers (4-10 overall, 1-3 NSIC) a split of the non-conference doubleheader as the Orediggers hung on for a 3-2 win in the day's first game.
Minot State now heads to Sioux Falls, S.D., for neutral-site NSIC games against Winona State as the Beavers will be the home team for the weekend series scheduled for a single game on Friday, a doubleheader on Saturday, and a single game Sunday. First pitch each day is slated for noon.

GOLDEN, Colo. – The Colorado School of Mines' one-run fifth proved to be the difference in the ballgame, as the Minot State Beavers lost a heartbreaker to the Orediggers by the score of 3-2 on Tuesday.
Junior Gage Eastlick (0-1) started and took the loss on the mound for Minot State. Sophomore Colton Bagshaw was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going 1.2 shutout innings without allowing a hit.
