Minot, ND – Minot State and Northern State played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday (Sept. 22) at Herb Parker Stadium.
With the tie, Minot State moves to 2-1-2 overall and 0-1-1 in NSIC play.
How it Happened: Minot State took the lead in the 67th minute when Sierra Haren scored her first goal of the season from a 40-yard free kick, breaking the 0-0 deadlock.
Northern State equalized six minutes later in the 73rd minute with a goal from Lauren Youngquist, assisted by Megan Fastenau.
Minot State showed no sign of fatigue, maintaining relentless pressure on Northern State both offensively and defensively throughout the match. The Beavers consistently challenged their opponents, keeping the game competitive on both ends of the field.
Coach's Comments: Coach T.J. Perez remarked, "Strong game from us defensively, handling Northern's set pieces. Siriana came up with some big saves, and the whole back line put their bodies on the line to block shots. We created some great opportunities, with Iliana hitting the post in the second half. The attackers put great pressure both defensively and offensively, totaling 12 shots."

- Siriana Gudino made six saves for the Beavers, facing 12 total shots from the Wolves.
- Minot State recorded six shots on goal.
Up Next: Minot State will be back in action on September 27th at Minnesota State University, Mankato, followed by a match on September 29th at Southwest Minnesota State University. The Beavers will return home to Herb Parker Stadium on October 4th.
