MINOT, N.D. - The #2 ranked Minot State Beavers men's hockey team is set to host a two-games series against Iowa State University. Game one is scheduled for Friday, January 10, at 7:30 pm at the Maysa Arena, and the Beavers will be hosting Cancer Awareness Night. Game two is scheduled for Saturday, January 11, at 7:30 pm at the Maysa Arena, and the Beavers will be hosting Military Appreciation Night. Minot State currently holds a record of 21-2-3, Iowa State currently holds a record of 5-14-1.
The Beavers are coming off of a midweek match-up on Wednesday, January 8, where they took on the University of Mary in their fourth match-up of the season. Minot State went on to defeat the University of Mary by a final score of 6-2 to make the Beavers 4-0-0 against the University of Mary on the season. The Beavers are currently riding a 3-game winning streak and will be looking to continue finding success in this weekend's match-ups.
This weekend's two-game series against Iowa State University is a rematch of the 2019 ACHA National Championship. In 2019, the Beavers went on to defeat Iowa State University to become ACHA National Champions.

Logan Rands is the leading defensemen in both points scored and goals scored for the Beavers with 20 points and 10 goals scored on the season.

Following this weekend's two-game series against Iowa State University, the Beavers will be back in action on the road in Albert Lea, Minnesota, for a two-game series against Waldorf University. Game one is scheduled for Friday, January 17, at 7:30 pm, and game two is scheduled for Saturday, January 16, at 6:00 pm.
